The island of Philae was dark, mysterious, and eerily quiet as we disembarked at the dock in front of Isis's temple. With the lapping sounds of the Nile behind us and the magnificent ancient structures looming in the pre-dawn shadows, the mood was set.

I won't go into the details of the first part of our ceremony (hopefully you will come to Egypt some day and experience it for yourself), but as we left the Holy of Holies, I instructed the group to remain in silence as we precessed through the beautiful Ptolemaic chapel on the eastern side of the temple grounds. The initiation we had begun in the sanctuary would not be complete until the first beams of the rising sun touched our third eye. It was a few minutes after six (ten hours ahead of Pacific Standard time) as we sat on the ledge in contemplation facing the brightening horizon reflecting off the placid waters of the Nile. Suddenly our Egyptologist, my good friend Emil, came running from the temple yelling "Obama has won! Obama has won!" I shushed him quickly and reminded the group they were still in meditation. And there for the final minutes before Ra peaked over the edge and shown radiantly on this bright and new day we all sat absorbing— "Obama has won!"

There was joy in the boat as we left the temple, and there was joy on the dock when we landed as the Nubians chanted OBAMA! OBAMA!

Full Moon Shadows on the Pyramid

Yes, I just returned from another magical mystery tour to Egypt with 44 other intrepid journeyers, and I have some great stories and pictures. This journey included many new rites offered in collaboration with my visionary partner Gloria Taylor Brown. We achieved unparalleled levels of expansion and spiritual transformation, yet found ourselves focused on right timing and spontaneous flexibility—the required surrender to unforeseen spiritual directives led us to one amazing synchronous event after another. One example is in the short story above, which could only have happened when our schedule was changed at the last minute so that our private Isis temple sunrise came a day later than planned. Another found us doing a u-turn on the road to Sakkara when a State Visit for an announcement of a newly found pyramid there forced us to change plans while en route. This was on 11:11, and our ability to turn on a dime brought us to the perfect moment, in the perfect place, with the perfect music to accomplish our goals in a most unexpected way. Traffic melted away as we sped to Cairo to the Ar-Rafai Mosque, one of the oldest and most beautiful in Old Cairo. We called for and received a private audience with the Imam of the mosque who sang for us in a resonant chamber, calling the prayers that opened our hearts along with the larger cosmic portal that opened at exactly 11:11am on 11/11. That abrupt change also opened the way for the full moon Sakkara pyramid rite that was one of the climaxes of our entire trip (followed by fire dancing and the camel ride out into the desert!)

For those of you new to Alchemical Healing, please come early at 6:30pm for the introduction. There is no charge for attending. Everyone is welcome. It would be to your benefit to attend if:

• You would like to witness and experience this unique form of energetic healing. Alchemical Healing offers a creative set of shamanic tools, which align well with all types of healing modalities.
• You are new to the healing arts and are interested in finding out about different forms.
• You are looking for a way to assist your own healing with a particular illness, injury or emotional situation.
• You have had training in the art of Alchemical Healing and would like to practice your skills.
• You or someone you know is in need of some healing.
