Mena House Oberoi, Giza EgyptDay 1, Monday, October 10:

Depart for Cairo EgyptAir Flight #986 leaves JFK at 6:30 PM. Overnight on the plane.

Day 2, Tuesday, October 11: Arrive Cairo/ Welcome Dinner

Arrive at Cairo Airport at about 11:25am local time where we will be met by our Tour Managers and transfered to our luxury accommodations at the Mena House Oberoi hotel. We’ll have an opening circle and welcome dinner nearby. Those coming in at other times will be informed of when our meeting will occur based on the actual arrival time of the New York group. (Breakfast and Dinner)

Ths Sphinx at GizaThe SphinxDay 3, Wednesday, October 12: Giza Plateau/Sphinx/Museum

We will begin this day with an amazing sunrise visit to the Giza Plateau. During our first ritual we will pay our respects to the Sphinx, the guardian of the Mysteries. Later in the day we will enjoy lunch on the way to a visit to the Egyptian Museum. The Egyptian Museum of Cairo hosts an astounding collection of Egyptian Antiquities and exhibits over 120,000 objects, including 1,700 Artifacts from the tomb of Tutankhamun. Overnight at the Mena House. (Breakfast and Lunch)

Khnum at Elephantine IslandDay 4, Thursday, October 13: Aswan/Elephantine Island

In the morning we fly to Aswan and check into our magical floating home, the dahabeya Afandina. You have some free time to relax before our afternoon felucca sail to visit Elephantine Island for a special initiation at the temple of Khnum. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 5, Friday, October 14: Aswan/Philae -– Isis

Nicki will lead us through a private sunrise meditation and ritual to receive the blessings of Isis at her beautiful island temple at Philae. This magnificent island temple represents a fusion of three great civilizations – Egyptian, Greek and Roman. The presence of Isis is palpable in the inner sanctum, the Holy of Holies of her temple during our initiation. You will have an opportunity to explore Aswan before we gather on deck to share our experiences as we sail northward toward Kom Ombo (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Group Circle at Kom OmboGroup Circle at Kom Ombo Day 6, Sunday, October 15: Kom Ombo/sail to Edfu

After our visit to the temple of Horus and Sobek at Kom Ombo, we will gather on deck to share our experience and discuss the mysteries as we sail to Edfu. There, we visit the temple of Sobek the crocodile god of strength, fortitude, fertility and rebirth, and Horus the son of Isis and Osiris. We continue sailing toward Edfu and spend the night on our Dahabeya on an island near Edfu. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

We continue sailing to Edfu, where we will have an afternoon visit to the Temple of Horus, one of the most beautifully preserved in Egypt. We spend the night near Edfu on our Dahabeya. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 8, Monday, October 17: Esna/Sail to Luxor/Luxor Temple

The temple at Esna is dedicated to the triad of Khnum, Neith and their offspring Hak and is remarkable for the beauty of its site and the magnificence of its architecture. After our visit of the temple and the town, we sail on to Luxor. In the evening we shall enjoy the Luxor Temple under the stars. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 9, Tuesday, October 18: Tombs of the Pharaohs/West Bank

Sail The West Bank holds the tombs of the pharaohs and some of the most spectacular sites, including Der el Bahari, the funerary temple of the female pharaoh Hatchepsut. We will also visit the mortuary temple of Ramses III at Medinet Habu. This evening is free for you to explore the wonders of Luxor’s market. (Breakfast,lunch,dinner)

In the Temple at AbydosIn the Temple at AbydosDay 10, Wednesday, October 19: Abydos/Dendera

We travel by bus north to the temple at Abydos, dedicated to Osiris. This temple rests next to and above the most ancient Osirion, one of the premier power places on the planet. It includes a more recent temple built by Seti I, which contains the most beautiful bas reliefs of any temple in Egypt. On the way back to Luxor we will stop at the exquisite temple of Hathor at Dendera where we will meet and work with the goddess of love and joy. Overnight Afandina. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Luxor TempleSekhmet at KarnakDay 11, Thursday, October 20: Karnak/Free time

Today we will visit one of the largest temple complexes in the world, Karnak. It has been home for more than 3,500 years to the living statue of the lioness goddess, Sekhmet, who will initiate us with her fierce compassion. We will have time to explore the beautiful town of Luxor either before our after our visit, depending on the timing of the moment. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 12, Friday, October 21: Flight to Cairo/ Khan el Khalili Bazaar

Khan el khaliliMid-morning flight to Cairo. On our way back to the Mena House, we will visit the colorful Khan el Khalili Bazaar where we will have lunch and afternoon of fun and shopping. Overnight at Mena House. (Breakfast, lunch)

Day 13, Saturday. October 22: Sakkara

Today we will visit the step pyramid at Sakkara, the world’s oldest freestanding pyramidal stone structure. Sakkara was masterminded by Imhotep, a renowned vizier and the architect to King Djoser (Dynasty III). This Step Pyramid at Sakkaramagnificent complex includes other Old Kingdom tombs and a temple of sound and healing. It is the perfect place to complete our rites in preparation for our final ceremony in the Great Pyramid. (Breakfast, lunch)

Day 14, Sunday, October 23: Free morning/Private

This morning is free to sleep in, swim in the pool, shop, horseback ride, or revisit a favorite location. You can also take an optional tour of Old Cairo. This afternoon or evening we’ll have a special private visit in the Great Pyramid with a culminating initiation in the King’s chamber. After our final rite we will meet for a farewell dinner and closing circle. (Breakfast and dinner)

Day 15, Monday, October 24: Final Departure

We depart for New York on Egypt Air flight #985 at 9:10AM, and arrive in JFK at 3:15 PM. (Breakfast)
