Shamanic Journeys & Alchemical Healing Monthly Newsletter
Dear Friends,

This summer is being full of surprises, and I hope yours has been as full of magic as mine. I returned last week from a two-week journey to the East Coast, where I taught Alchemical Healing in Connecticut and visited my daughter Sage's family in upstate New York, where they have a place to escape from the rigors of New York City in the summer. The creek in their back yard was swift and swollen from weeks of rain, but there is a safe swimming-hole a few minutes walk and another even closer that you can float to downstream. I endured a wonderful full-on fall, flat on my face in the swift, nearly freezing water. Very refreshing!

So my impending semi-retirement is seeming more important, as my business caused me to miss getting to see my grandchildren in Washington state this summer. Here is the latest photos of them. Hopefully they can come down for a visit soon.

Sekhmet, Transformation in the Belly of the Goddess Video Class

September 10, 13, 17, 20, 24, and 27
Monday and Thursday evenings at 5:30pm Pacific (8:30pm Eastern)

I still have a video class coming up, Sekhmet, Transformation in the Belly of the Goddess. If you want to do that amazing, magical transformational work with me as your guide, perhaps now is the time. You can learn about it by linking from my website, ShamanicJourneys.com to the registration page at HathorsMirror.com. Please don't wait until the last minute because the preparation is the most important part, and what you put into your offering to Sekhmet sets the foundation for how deeply you can reconstruct yourself through this alchemical process. While you live your life within the belly of Sekhmet, you will get an invitation to the private Sekhmet forum when you register so that you can consult with others who have been through this process, and with me as well before, during and after the class. The aim of this class is to create warriors and guardians for Ma'at, both the concept and goddess of Truth, Justice, Harmony, and Cosmic Law. When things get perilously out of balance on the planet as they are now, Sekhmet comes in to help us right the scales and bring back the respect we need for each other and for our precious planet.

This work is a commitment, however it is well worth the time and effort, for it is an opportunity to reconstruct your self— to co-create yourself with an entirely new blueprint while being digested and regenerated in Sekhmet's belly. You will learn much about yourself while realizing that you are She and Sekhmet is you, and it will always be that way.

One of the things that amazes me about this class is that many people are doing for the second and even third times. I initially thought it would be a once in a lifetime process, but it appears that it gets deeper every time. I also have noticed that these classes are building community, and I believe that it is through the exponential power of community that we can make the real changes that need to happen on a global level.

Need Personal Assistant/Office Manager

I plan to do a Planetary Healing Call to Action soon, however my first priority at this moment is to find a part time Personal Assistant and Office Manager, which I have to do before I start anything else. If you know anyone in Eugene that has the temperament and skills to work with someone like me, please have them send their resume ASAP. Safia, whom I love and who has been wonderful for us for three years (initially she just stepped in to help during an emergency) needs to get on with her life. Meanwhile, this person needs Mac computer skills, social media, run an on-line store and keep track of all the things I can't. I am flexible with timing but most importantly, the work does have to be done from this office. Please send your information including a cover letter to office@ShamanicJourneys.com. Thank you.

Alchemical Healing Classes

As the various teachers let me know about their classes, I will let you know where you can get Alchemical Healing teachings directly from a teacher in the Thoth lineage. Hopefully I will be doing another video class soon, but probably not before 2019.

2019 Egyptian Mysteries Tours

As you know, the tour company subsidiary of Shamanic Journeys, Ltd. has been passed to my trusted partner Indigo Rønlov. She is leaving for Cairo in a few days to lead a sold out tour with Sandra Corcoran; but fear not— she has planned two new and different tours for 2019! For more detailed information on either of these tours, please request information directly from Indigo at: http://eepurl.com/dwA2I9 and visit Mysteries of Egypt LLC website here: http://mysteriesofegypt.com.

March 1 ~ 14, 2019 - Becoming the Lotus

Join Indigo Rønlov and special guest, Aryshta Dean, for this extra-ordinary adventure into the ancient land of Egypt and her mysteries. Besides the usual delving into the discovery of your divinity through your work at the temples and on your private dahabeya with the ancient neteru, the gods and goddesses of the Egyptian pantheon, you will be introduced to a special flower that was held in deep reverence and carved throughout the temple walls and columns, as well as included in many rites and initiations. The Blue Lotus once grew along the banks of the River Nile and was a sacred plant deified by the god Nefertem, son of Ptah and Sekhmet. The flower has long since stopped growing along the riverbank as modern civilization has encroached and changed the conditions, yet tales that it still grows in the land filter through from time to time. In our pursuit of this ancient flower, we will move through the world of modern Egypt, into the mythical and alchemical world of the ancients and the gods and goddesses, as well as within our own spirit as we connect to the essence of who and what the lotus is within us. This tour is already half full with lots of interest. If this is the tour you have been waiting for, be sure to contact us right away.

11-24 October 2019— Wisdom of the Neteru

Join Indigo Rønlov on this unique tour through the beautiful land and temples of Egypt. Throughout this journey we will lean into the silence and the space provided by the River Nile, the desert air, the fierce and brilliant sun, and the ancient and magnificent temples and monuments in order to receive the wisdom of the neteru. The neteru are the ancient goddesses and gods of Egypt, each an archetypal aspect of who we are as divine co-creative beings on the planet. The ancient Egyptian word “neteru” morphed into the Coptic language as “Netcher,” which in English means nature. So it is that on this special pilgrimage we will have the opportunity to discover our true essential nature as we commune with and are guided by the still vital and alive neteru within the temples, and within each of us.

Mohamed Nazmy

It is with deep sadness that I have been considering the passing of Mohamed Nazmy, my partner in Egypt since 1992. Ours was unlike any usual business arrangement, as almost from the beginning he was like a brother to me. Mohamed went beynd the beyond when it came to serving the people, which he did with a grace and flair unmatchable. Problem solving was one of his greatest joys. If there was a challenge, or a sudden forced change in plans, he would not only fix it, but he would make it better than anyone could have imagined. Once we got to our fancy hotel in Luxor and because they were behind with their construction schedule, there were no rooms for about a third of our 45 preson group, and because of an important soccer match, there was no room at any decent hotel in Luxor. We kept our people busy while we struggled with this seemingly insurmountable problem when Mohamed, from his physical therapy appointment following his first stroke, came up with a solution— he had his dahabeya brought to the hotel and we did a lottery to see who would get those rooms. Although the rooms were not as large, the people on the boat had their own living room and were also given all the services of the hotel, plus they were also on the river. At first some thought it was a downgrade but soon realized the advantage of having their own home with freedom and privacy. (some of the lucky ones were hand picked with that need in mind!)

Another example was when our private time in the Great Pyramid (we make a point of getting the King's Chamber and the entire pyramid privately during off-hours) got taken away for a VIP and his entourage while we were in the bus on our way there. Panic! The group was unaware of the distress the group leaders were going through but suddenly the bus was directed by Mohamed to turn around in Cairo traffic (in itself, just that was an amazing miracle) and return downtown to an ancient mosque that was a historical monument that very few tourists get to see. An Imam (almost as old as the mosque) was carried to us and gave us a private concert of the most beautiful singing in Arabic that we could ever have imagined— and this in an ancient building layered with centuries of worship. Once again, Mohamed had turned disaster into something we couldn't have imagined, and we got our private time in the pyramid without the participants ever knowing we almost lost it.

I could go on and on about how it was "back in the day", however life goes on and age attacks and Mohamed's second stroke slowly took his life away, much to the sadness of the many people he touched.

One more story— There was a time when Mohamed was fixated with John Lennon's "Imagine" and we were completing our sunrise ceremony at Isis's temple at Philae. We created a circle in the courtyard that included all the staff and guards from the temple and all sang "Imagine" together. As you can imagine, tears of love flowed then as they do now.

Blessed Mohamed Nazmy, may you rest in peace and may all of those that you have touched with your generosity and your love remember the many magical moments that made your life so special.

I wish you all a joy-filled rest of the summer.

With love and blessings, Nicki
