Dear Friends,

Hurrah! I finally received some decent photos I can share with you from the Oregon Country Fair, as promised. I had the privilege of co-creating the opening ceremonies for both the Main Stage and the Midnight Show, which was done in collaboration with about ten of us, including Zahra Indigo Rønlov, Shawna Blue Star Newcomb (offered the prayer in both English and her Native Lenape language in the morning ceremony), musicians and singers Megan, Matthew and Jesse from the Sugar Beets, Ashbolt Stewart and Sharinam from my old band, Tribal Alchemy, Areha, a priestess singer from Las Vegas and of course, Alexa MacDonald who wrote and sang (with others) the song/prayer for both ceremonies. Risk of Change provided added color with their exquisite giant puppets.

On Friday morning I led journey to help create the future of the Fair in the opening ceremony, and a prayer that included an initiation to open the Floodgates of Joy at the Midnight Show and during my Friday teaching slot. My daughter Sage and family were also here.

As always, the OCF was a place of reunion and an opportunity to hear great music on a number of stages, hear great speakers, meditate or receive free healing and advice at Altared Space (initially founded by me but I retired several years ago.) Since my passing of that baton, the temple has been rebuilt and many new and exciting ways to grow and express the spiritual artist and reverence that resides in each of us have been added. This year for the craft section, they put up four huge blank canvases and provided lots of paint, and the result was beyond anything any of us could have imagined.
