Oregon Country Fair Opening Ceremony

Dear Friends,

I can't believe it's already Friday, and I feel like I'm just surfacing from the magic and wonder of the 45th Annual Oregon Country Fair last weekend. Between the rituals, ceremony, my Alchemical Healing presentation with Mark, and getting to experience the Fair through the three year old eyes of my granddaughter Blue, life just doesn't get any better.

Nicki and her girlsThis year I passed the mantle of Director of Altared Space to my friend and colleague Indigo Ronlov. She, with the indispensable help of Amanda Starlight and about 30 dedicated Altar Babes, made the transition a smooth one. Indigo brings a depth of spiritual wisdom and vast creative view to both honor the last 17 years and allow for the emergence of new possibilities. For the past four years we have honored each of the four sacred elements during the Opening Ceremony and throughout the Fair (ceremony designed by Indigo). This year's honoring of the sacred fire and its transformative and creative attributes was the most remarkable Opening Ceremony yet. It's hard to imagine what next year will bring. Because we were paying our respects to fire, we kept the fire burning in its own beautiful space next to the temple throughout the weekend, compounding the power and mystery of the night temple. It was particularly insightful to witness the holding of fire in such a sacred manner during this volatile time on the planet. Between the altar and the fire, came some of the most profound magic of the weekend.

In my circle of friends, there hase been an uptick in those suffering from cancer. Almost everyone I know has someone in ther family or close circle of friends who is going through it. For eight years, I held bi-monthly free cnacer phone bridge calls, many of which are archived for all to listen to here. If you feel it's time for me to give anothe live phone bridge, please drop a return to indicate your interest and if there is enough of you, I'll set one up soon. Also, we still have copies of the Cauldrom Journey for Healing with Kuan Yin CD, and And You Will Fly… for children dealing with potentially terminal diseases. These are on Hathor's Mirror and you may have them for free simply by mentioning that in the order. It just doesn't seem right anymore for anyone to have to die from cancer, AIDS, or leukemia.

Stepping Into Ourselves Telesummit

It is with great pleasure that I would like to remind you all of the Stepping Into Ourselves live broadcast event. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6pm/Pacifc through August 1st, you have the opportunity to listen live to interviews with the co-authors and publishers of Stepping Into Ourselves: An Anthology Of Writings on Priestesses. Egypt is Still Calling Dates

Although our November 2014 trip is full, we are taking deposits for a wait list and for October-November 2015. I keep thinking I'm complete with that level of travel, however it's obvious Egypt is not complete with me and there is nothing I enjoy more than sharing my beloved Egypt with those who are drawn to join me. We spend nine nights sailing the Nile on our private dahabeya (it's like a yacht, only nicer), stopping at temples and villages along the way. To see a viedo of the go to this YouTube video. Because of the intimacy and privacy of our experiences I can't fathom not going back for another deep and rewarding pilgrimage filled with magic and mystery like no other place on the planet.
