Dear Friends,

I can hardly believe I'm in Egypt! It's so good to be home again. Our small group completes its arrival on Tuesday, and many of us are already here and staying in one of Mohamed's apartments, bless his heart.

photo: Amanda StarlightIndigo (Indigo Rønlov is my co-leader on this tour) is making a huge impression everywhere she goes. It's amazing how people are responding to her service project for her masters degree in ecopsychology at Naropa University. The other day Indigo, Amanda, Shannon, and Doaa, our Egyptologist friend, went to a school in the 6th of October (that's a town) to work with 33 children teaching them about repurposing the plastic trash that blows all throughout Egypt. These same children will join us on the first day of our tour at Sakkara, where together we will gather the trash that will become the prime material for the alchemy of their new art. They will be able to make bags, bottle holders, rugs, and all manner of useful and even sellable items from the plastic that has been discarded.

This is particularly exciting because it is a real, physical, hands-on reflection of the spiritual work we will be doing to transform ourselves during the Egyptian mysteries as we are exploring from monument to monument. Sekhmet, the lioness goddess who is the feminine face of the sun, will be our main guide through this powerful alchemical process.

I will try to keep you informed, mostly through Facebook, and I have an Instragram account and plan to use it, although if you know me well, you know I get pretty deeply involved in the work and have time for little else.

Although what we are doing here will have some influence upon the work that Normandi and I will be doing during our retreat in April, that retreat will be more focused on the magic between Thoth and Isis, and the Mysteries as they have been unfolding over the last 15 or so years that we have been teaching together. Right now, my friends who came early and Emil, our stellar Egyptologist (and so much more!) are sitting around our apartment reminiscing as old friends do. Almost everyone on this trip have been here with me before, and the level of comfort we feel will serve us well as we attempt to go deeper than ever before. Sekhmet is waiting for us, and we are preparing.

I wish I could share my beloved Egypt with all of you. Perhaps some day… Meanwhile, I send blessings and prayers for peace in your hearts and all over the world.

I am excited to offer a seven day Alchemical and Planetary Healing Intensive retreat this summer. I have decided to consolidate the learning process in order to make it more accessible and with less travel required. In this retreat we will cover salient rites and initiations from the entire Alchemical and Planetary Healing form, providing tools and experience that will give participants depth, breadth and confidence to your personal and planetary practices. This retreat is open to all levels of students and practitioners, as we will study the entire form, including processes and initiations from all three related texts (Alchemical Healing, Power Animal Meditations and Planetary Healing), however, we will be moving quickly through the basics. Thus students are highly encouraged to come to this retreat having already read Alchemical Healing, and practiced the form on some level. This is also a great opportunity for advanced students as it will be both a refresher and an opportunity to learn and practice new techniques and receive new empowerments. This intensive class is a prerequisite for the Alchemical Healing Practitioner Certification.
